Please mark your calenders now, if you have not already done so, for November 3,4 & 5, to be at Boyne Mt. Resort for the Ninth Annual Marian Peace Conference. It is a conference you and your family can not afford to miss, one that will be of great benefit to your soul. A soul that God gave you authority over, trusting you will make the right choices in life.

Come and be educated in the truths of the faith which today many seem to think are no longer of great importance. If you truly knew GOD you would never want to offend HIM again. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR THE UPCOMING CONFERENCE

REGISTRATION: You may register at the door of the conference hall at the main desk in the lobby. After you have registered, you will receive a packet of vital information regarding the conference, as well as the song book.

SEATING: All seating is on a first-come first-serve basis. There will be reserved seating in front for all speakers, priests and religious, handicap and hearing impaired. PLEASE DO NOT SAVE SEATS FOR ONE ANOTHER. You will sit where God wants you to sit! There will also be large screens with seating in the lower level of the conference hall; this will ensure excellent viewing from all sections downstairs. If you should have young children, you will be asked to sit in the lower level with the young ones.

HANDICAPPED: Sing language will be available for your convenience.

PRIESTS AND DEACONS: All priests and deacons are invited to participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Please bring your own alb and stole. All priests are asked to please help out also with the Sacrament of Penance.

MEALS; Buffet meals will be served always in the main lodge of Boyne. If you wish to eat lighter, you may choose from the snack bar under the big tent. Or you may bring your own food and refreshments.

DAYCARE: Will not be provided for this year.

YOUTH PROGRAM: Will be available this year for children ages 6-17 only. They must be preregistered this year as there is limited space available.

BOOKSTORE & RELIGIOUS ITEMS: Located in the lower level of the conference center. A great time to do your Christmas shopping for your family and friends, a very beautiful selection of all religious items. The store will be closed during all Masses.

VOLUNTEERS: Are always needed and greatly appreciated especially with the youth programs and with the Store.

Conference Speakers

FR. BILL CASEY, C.P.M., is a member of the Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, and its Superior General since 1997. A native of Philadelphia, PA, Father Casey studied philosophy at Christendom College and Theology at Holy Apostles Seminary in Connecticut.

FR. SHANNON MICHAEL COLLINS, C.P.M., is the vocation director of the Fathers of Mercy. Father Collins was ordained in June after completing his training at St. Phillip Neri Seminary in Toronto.

FR. JOHN CORAPI, S.O.L.T., a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity was ordained in 1991 by His Holiness Pope John Paul II. He has studied extensively and has several degrees, including a doctorate in Sacred Theology.

FR. CLEMENT MACHADO, S.O.L.T., is a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity.

FR. ANDRE SCHLUDECKER, O.F.M., is the former pastor of St. Francis Church in Petoskey. He is currently at St. Peter’s Church in Chicago. Fr. Andre was instrumental in the starting of the Marian Peace Center in Joy Valley, and the Annual Marian Peace Conferences.

REV. ALBERT J.M. SHAMON is a pastor, teacher, columnist, broadcaster, noted author of over forty books, and dynamic speaker. Fr. Shamon has been with us at every conference!

REV. LEROY SMITH is director of Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Marian Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He comes to us with a multitude of gifts, talents, and treasures, that he openly shares with all God’s people.

SR. LOUIS MARIE DE MONTFORT is a professed religious belonging to the Hermit-missionaries of the Celestial Father for over 20 years. She is also a member of the staff at the National Headquarters of the Marian Movement of Priests.

DAVID PARKES is an inspirational singer from Ireland. His personal testimony and healing from a devastating illness can touch even the most hardened hearts.

BOB AND MAUREEN DIGAN are very involved at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA. Maureen’s miraculous cure from an incurable disease was used for the Beatification of Sister Faustina Kowalska in 1993, and one of the miracles used to proclaim Blessed Faustina a Saint on April 30, 2000.

ROBERT & BARBARA SMITH are the directors and owners of The Marian Peace Center in Joy Valley, Inc. and St. Joseph’s Religious Gift and Bookstore, in downtown Petoskey. They have a daughter, Lori, and a son, Alan. Alan and his wife, Renay, have one son, John Henry Joseph. The Marian Peace Center is the sole contributor of this conference.

CONFERENCE JUBILEE UPDATE

Thursday, November 2nd, “ALL SOULS DAY”, a special evening is being planned for the Holy Souls in Purgatory at Boyne Mountain. Since so many arrive early, at 8:00 PM a special Mass will be celebrated for these souls in the Conference Hall. Eucharistic Adoration will follow with closing Benediction. Come join us!
