Prayers

To All Priests, Our Lady's Beloved Sons--

We, on behalf of the Marian Peace Center, want to thank all Bishops and
Priests for the gift of their priesthood to us all! We thank you for the many
you have baptized, for all the children you prepared for First Communion, and
Confirmation, for the many blessings and healings through the Sacrament of
Reconciliation we have received. For the many couples you helped to bring
together in the Sacrament of Matrimony, for thee many you have anointed and
for all those you have buried. We thank you for the countless times during the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, you took plain bread and wine into your hands,
and through the power of the Holy Spirit, changed them into the True Body and
Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Thank you again on behalf of
the Marian Peace Center in Joy Valley for representing Jesus Christ, your
brother, as a priest, in your parish...at a a conference...everywhere! We love
you for all that you do. May the Holy Spirit continue to enlighten and
protect you always!

The Shortest Way

Holy Communion is the shortest, and surest way to Heaven. There are others, innocence for instance, but that is for little children; penance, but we are afraid of it; a generous endurance of the trials of life, but when they approach us we weep and pray to be delivered. Once for all, beloved children, the surest easiest, shortest way is by the Eucharist. --Pious X

The Priesthood--

To live in the midst of the world with no desire for its pleasures;
To be a member of every family, yet to belong to none;
To share all sufferings, to penetrate all secrets, to heal all wounds;
To go daily from men to God; to offer Him their homage and petitions;
To return from God to men; to bring them His pardon and hope;
To have a heart of bronze for chastity, and a heart of flesh for charity;
To teach and instruct; to pardon and console; to bless and be blessed forever!
Oh God! What a life, and "tis thine, O priest of Jesus Christ.
-Lacordaire-

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

A prayer which would release 1000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said.

Our Lord told St. Gertrude the GREAT that the following prayer would release 1000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners as well:

”Eternal Father, I offer thee the most precious blood of the Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.”

Prayer for a loved one’s return to the Faith

Dear Lord,

You became man, suffered and died to win salvation for all souls.

Look graciously on the soul of my loved one who has drifted away from you and the faith. Grant (name,) your grace to see the error of his/her ways and return to the fold in your care.

Teach me to stay close to (name,) during this trying time and strive to convert him/her by action and prayers more than by words that may antagonize.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in you to do everything to bring my loved one back to you.

Amen

The Our Father--

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen

The Hail Mary--

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

The Glory Be--

Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning,
Is now,
And ever shall be
World without end
Amen

Prayer before Mass--

Eternal Father, we members of your blessed Son, Jesus Christ's Mystical Body,
(His Church), in prayerful union with other members of His Church throughout
the world, especially those who are suffering or living under oppression; in
spiritual communion with the intentions of Our Lady of Sorrows on Calvary,
the Angels and Saints in Heaven, our Patron Saints, our Guardian Angels - We
all join in offering this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, this unbloody renewal
and extension of Christ's Sacrifice on the Cross for the following intentions:

(1) To adore and worship God the Father, God the Son, an God the Holy Spirit
and to pledge our love and loyalty forever to the God who made us to Know,
Love and Serve Him in this world and to be happy with him forever in Heaven.

(2) To thank God for all the blessings and graces He has bestowed upon us
throughout our lives especially for the gifts of Faith, Hope and Charity;
those girts of Truth, Love and Peace which Christ promised to leave with us.

(3) We express our sorrow for having offended God in any way throughout our
lives and offer our prayers, works, sufferings, joys and even ourselves, to
the Eternal Father with this sacrifice of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity
of His Dearly Beloved Son in atonement for our sins and those of the whole

world. (4) Finally, we petition the Triune God for the Grace from this Eucharist to
conform every conscious endeavor of our lives to the will of the Father in
all things as did Christ. We also pray for all persons, places and things,
absent, present, living, and dead, for which we are bound in conscience or
have expressed a desire to pray for especially for an increase in vocations
and for an end to the unspeakable crime of abortion.
Amen

Prayers to Combat Evil--

Prayer to St. Michael--

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against
the wickedness and the snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly
pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust
into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world, seeking
the ruin of souls.
Amen

St. Anthony of Padua's Motto

(used with crucifix or the sign of the cross)

"Behold the Cross of the Lord! Be gone, ye enemy powers! The Lion of the
Tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has conquered! Alleluia!" (Apoc. 5,5.)

Prayer to St. Alphonse Liguori:

"Evil spirits, I command you, in the name of
Jesus Christ, to depart from me and never to torment me again." (Change me to
him, her, etc.)
